Our very early morning flight took us from Lima, Peru up into the Andes Mountains and set us down in the city of Cusco, elevation 11,152 feet.

After three amazing days in the Amazon jungle (we shall return before we leave Peru!), we reluctantly packed up and left our treehouse abode to visit another area of Peru.

Three times each day, Orlando and our boatman Ugo would take Kim and me out in a motorized canoe...

God blessed us with a beautiful spring (Peru is in the southern hemisphere, remember...) morning as we flew from Lima's international airport into the small airport of Iquitos  in north eastern Peru to begin our first jungle adventure.

Iquitos is the world's largest city that cannot be reached by road, being linked to the outside world only by boat or air.

For three fabulous weeks in September, Kim and I experienced the wonderland that is the nation of Peru.
