The Nettle Creek Players tent theater was a summer regular during my teenage years in the small town of Hagerstown, Indiana.

The evening of July 7, just before dusk, I took this photo.  Once again, we had been slammed with a torrential rainstorm, flooding the fields and garden and completely flattening our first planting of sweet corn.

These girls have still got it.

Another Easter weekend has come and gone...a glorious time each year to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus!

I am stunned and in shock this morning, as our small community is reeling, shaken to the core by the sudden death of one of our dearest.

We started in September...I had wanted to do a children's Christmas musical at our church last year, but my health got in the way.  So this was the year...14 of the sweetest, most talented children that you will ever meet just happen to attend our church, and they made their director (that's me in the back...the one with the crazy hair...guess I was a bit "harried" that day...) VERY PROUD!

Getting all nostalgic this week, I had to dig out this photo from a Christmas morning long past.

Being the nerd that I am, when I read that last night there would be an unusual convergence of Jupiter and Venus, I braved the mosquitoes to get a glimpse of the phenomenon and take a few photos.

But before I even made it past the pines to view the western sky, I saw the big, beautiful nearly-full moon shining down on me.
