Our final day before leaving Antarctica was a magical one.

Each day in Antarctica just seemed to get better than the previous one.

The 12th day of our epic trip turned out to be penguin day.

Ice, ice, every direction we looked we were surrounded by ICE!

After spending the entire previous day crossing the Drake Passage, we were a little disappointed to wake up the next morning still seeing only water again. We still had several hours to go before arriving in Antarctica.

Before we went to bed the night before, our Expedition Leader Lucho cautioned us to secure everything in our cabins as overnight the Explorer began its navigation across the fabled Drake Passage.

We spent our last day in Chilean Patagonia exploring the spectacular fjord of the Pia Glacier.

The most spectacular place we visited in Chilean Patagonia was the Torres del Paine National Park.

Most glaciers we cruised past simply fell into the ocean, but the Bernal Glacier is back from the shore a short distance....
