Every new morning in the African bush is like opening a gift...we are always so excited to see what surprises God has in store for us!
The final leg of our September adventures in southern Africa took Kenny, Kim, and me along with our guide Brooks to Chitabe Camp in Botswana's Okavango Delta.
We enjoyed one last unique experience before we reluctantly left Duma Tau camp and moved on to our final adventures in Botswana.
We aren't sure if the big male lion eventually got a meal that day after the wild dogs denied him, but he seemed pretty content when we caught up with him and another male lion later that afternoon napping through the heat of the day.
When you think "safari," I doubt that African wild dogs come to mind. But some of our most exciting adventures on this trip involved African wild dog drama.
(Continuing my photo-journaling on our Africa trip last month...it's taking me awhile to go through the thousands of photos I took...)
After a quick-but-fabulous stay at the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia to see Victoria Falls, Kenny, Kim, and I were off to spend a week at two different safari camps in Botswana.
