He's the most adorable little guy, but a little on the strong-willed side (wonder where in the world he got that trait?!) and sometimes moody, so you never know what you're going to get.

But he was pretty pumped about his preschool Christmas program when he proudly marched down the stairs all spiffed up with his bowtie on and a big smile on his face. A good sign that he was going to be cooperative at his program.

Daniel was a bit of his goofy self walking into the sanctuary...

What a cute kiddo!

I mean, the whole group is cute but I'm partial to the handsome fella in navy....

Daniel spotted his fan club!

The children did a great job singing lots of familiar Christmas songs. When they sang, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," I was afraid Daniel was going to land a Grandpa-Bud-upper-cut on one of those girls beside him. But they steered clear of those boisterous fists!

Pretty sure the teacher on the sidelines gave them the "smile" sign...and Daniel followed suit.

We were told they had to do a quick costume change and then would return.

Daniel had told Mommy Kara that he was wearing a costume, but she really had no idea if he truly was.

So we were all shocked when he came back up on stage as Joseph!

Oh my goodness. Melt our hearts....

And then the sweet angelic "Joseph" began to show a few Danielisms...

Not sure what the blowing was all about...

And then...

Oopsie! I didn't mean to pull it off...

I'll just put it back on...no one will notice...

Uh-oh...I can't fix it. What to do now???

The show must go on...

And so, despite his self-induced costume malfunction, Daniel never skipped a beat and kept right on singing with his class.
