In late spring, we broke ground on a brand new sanctuary addition. I use the word "we" loosely here...this girl here does not break ground on anything, but I am cheering on the construction crew that is!

After the walls went up a couple of weeks ago, part of our church family gathered on an August Sunday morning for a brief dedication service for the new sanctuary.

 

Our grandson Karter (in navy shorts on left) was part of the worship team that led us in song.

Everyone was invited to write a special Bible verse on the wall studs. Emily wrote her family's verse...

 

Our friend Rich is the one who made this project happen. As I've told Rich, I am certain that God placed him here for such a time as this. Without his experience, tenacity, generosity of finances and time, and his connections we'd still be just talking about this new sanctuary. "For God's glory," he always answers. Yes, for the glory of God!

We are excited to see how God will use our church family in Sulphur Springs to grow His Kingdom!
