A Glorious Easter
04/05/2021
Eleven of my most precious blessings are in this one photo...all 11 of my grandbabies came to celebrate with us!
Sunday began with an amazing worship service at Sulphur Springs Christian Churchto celebrate our Risen Lord! After a very long, frustrating year with the pandemic messing up everything including our church attendance, it felt so glorious to see our church sanctuary filled once again with many folks I haven't seen for a long time. My eyes filled with tears as we sang those familiar Easter hymns...God is so faithful and has brought us through that dark season into the brightness again.
I was so grateful that all of my children and their families, along with my father-in-law Kenny, were able to come. We had lunch and then it was time for our annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Kristoffer gave the kids their boundaries and instructions...
...and then they were off!
When did this little boy grow up?! All of a sudden, Abram is 7 years old and looking so big!
Ditto for Krew, who is also 7 years old. These 2 cousins have so much fun together...I love seeing their friendship grow!
Sweet Juni-bug is now a 5 1/2-year-old kindergartener...
Karter is almost 13 and Kaden is 11, but never too old for Gramaw's egg hunt.
I mean, even at age 32 Kyler is still collecting eggs...he would probably claim he was just carrying them for his kids....
Our littlest fella Daniel is not so little any more...he'll be 3 in May.
Juni checking out the plunder....
Daniel is all about EATING the plunder...
So thankful for my wonderful father-in-law Kenny! God surely blessed me with great parents-in-law (my mother-in-law Peggy passed away 14 years ago...wow...hard to believe it's been that long).
God certainly provided us with a picture-perfect weather day! I think spring is finally here!
Our beautiful 8-year-old twins Kelsey and Kassie....
Lucy will be 5 years old in just 9 more days. Such a cutie-pie!
Love me a swing full of Gray boys...
Lovely Em cheesing it...
Em and Zach have been foster parents for these two adorable littles for almost 3 years now. The child welfare court system moves painfully slow, but we are hopeful that things are moving in a positive direction. I'm hopeful that one day I'll actually be able to show you their sweet little faces!
Kristoffer and Dana were super-busy organizing the church Easter breakfast, so I didn't get a photo of them in their Easter outfits. But the Big Bunny brought them (the kids, at least) these new casual clothes.
Kamaron pastors a church near Pendleton and agreed that it was a special morning of worship at Harvest Bible Fellowship too.
And Kyler and Kara just got home from a trip to Texas yesterday, went to their home church in Ohio, and drove 2 hours to spend the afternoon with their Indiana family.
I'm one happy Gramaw this morning, and so thankful that my children make family time a priority.
What a glorious Easter!
