Last Saturday Kim and I were blessed to attend the wedding celebration of a very special couple, both children of good friends of mine.
I've known them both since the days they were born. Jacob is the youngest son of my dear friend Brenda and Hannah is the daughter of our neighbor/friend Robin.
Who gets married outside in Indiana in March? A farmer! They had their hearts set on an outdoor wedding and wanted to have it before planting began. March weather in Indiana is very unpredictable, but God blessed them with a fantastic spring day for their wedding day.
As we were waiting to be seated, I fell in love with this adorable little ring bearer (Hannah's nephew). He was putting rocks in the ring box! Thankfully someone had already secured the actual rings. But isn't he just the cutest thing with his tux, boots, and holster?!
When we left, this little fella was chatting it up with the security guard outside, comparing their weapons and counting bullets. I wish I'd gotten a photo of that....
Parents of the groom, Brenda and Tim...
Jacob's beautiful young nieces Grace...
...and June were flower girls.
Hannah was stunning and radiant, escorted down the aisle by her two brothers Isaac and Luke.
Our pastor CJ officiated the wedding ceremony.
Jacob's sister-in-law owns a flower shop and did a fabulous job, as she always does, with the flowers!
I loved this moment! After tying the knot of 3 cords symbolizing Jacob+Hannah+Jesus together in this marriage, they had a family prayer together. Very special!
Big hug for his momma! Brenda earned that after putting up with his shenanigans all these years!
Hannah's sister Christen was a bridesmaid.
Two more cute nephews of Hannah's...brothers of the little ringbearer.
Mother of the bride Robin, and her two sons.
The reception was inside this beautiful barn...
Brianna's floral masterpieces were just gorgeous!
Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Chapman!
Christen shared some beautiful thoughts and prayed for the new couple.
We were all a little worried about the cake. It looked nice from the front...
...but the longer Christne spoke, the lean-ier it got!
Thankfully they were able to do the traditional cake-cutting before it toppled over!
Extra-special getting to celebrate such a joyous occasion with some of my closest friends in the world...Peggy, Amy, Brenda, Linda, and me. We've been through a lot together, the happiest and saddest of times and lots in between. I treasure their friendships!!!
A beautiful celebration for a precious couple!
Their first day of forever.
