That magical number that, when you're young and just out of school, you think will never arrive. But it does, a lot sooner than one thinks it will.

He isn't retired yet, but he's sure giving it lots of serious thought these days.  Retirement is on the not-so-distant horizon.

We celebrated it in typical low-key Kim style...with a weenie roast surrounded by some of our favorite people.

I spent the morning baking his favorite...jelly cake. 

It's a unique (and VERY SWEET!) cake that is beloved by all generations of Gray peeps. A pain to make, but worth it to see the smiles.

We initiated our new firepit...hopefully we'll get a lot of use from it in the summers ahead.

65 years looks good on my man.

Truly a milestone birthday.
