Back in the Bleachers
09/04/2020
In the strangest year of my lifetime, this Covid pandemic canceled all spring and summer sports. No track, no baseball, no softball, no soccer.
Very weird not having our lives revolve around sporting schedules.
And I really, REALLY missed it!
So we were very grateful that the schools, with lots of social distancing restrictions and mask mandates in place, decided to have the fall sports season.
And while I despise the whole mask thing, I will reluctantly comply with the school and IHSAA rules in order to watch my grandkids' athletics.
Karter is #11, playing wide receiver on offense and defensive back. He had the very first tackle on the very first play of the season. Great start!
He hasn't had his growth spurt yet, so he often finds himself matched against boys quite a bit larger and stronger than him.
But Karter holds his own. I'm really proud of how he's gotten more aggressive on the football field.
And he sure looks cute in his uniform!
Hard to believe my little Karterman is old enough to play big-boy football!
Oops...that was not supposed to happen. But even the best DBs let one slip by them once in awhile....
So much fun watching our grandson Karter do his football thing! We are so happy to be...
...back in the bleachers.
