Summer Shindig 2020
07/05/2020
Last weekend, as the Covid19 restrictions are about to phase out, Sulphur Springs Christian Church hosted its 6th annual Summer Shindig.
As we watched the weather forecast all week, it went from iffy to sketchy to horrible, and that morning we got the biggest downpour we've had in several weeks. But as the 6 pm. start time approached, God miraculously intervened and separated the storm clouds into a dry circle around Sulphur Springs (truly!) and the Shindig was ON!
Eight of our 11 grandchildren were there for the festivities....
Kelsey & Kassie (7 1/2) with our foster grandson J (2) had fun in the bounce house.
Our oldest grandson Karter (12)...
Kaden (on right, 10 1/2) with his friend Alex...
Krew (6)...
Juni (4 1/2)...
And here's little J (2) with his sister T (5)...wish you could see their adorable faces, but following the rules for fostering...

Tropical Shaved Ice was new this year...perks of having the owner as part of our church family!
Even the big kids loved the balloon animals...our daughter Emily got a little rhino.
Our son Kristoffer did a fantastic job serving as emcee for the shindig.
"Juggler for Jesus" was great fun too!

Love this group of gorgeous, beautiful women! They even look adorable caricatured!
The extravaganza ended with the BEST fireworks show in Sulphur Springs! Truly a great community and church event after a very challenging spring.
