Yes, Again....
New ME

SUCCESS!!!

Six months ago, on December 2, 2019, I took the first step of my final weight loss journey.

"Final," as in I never intend to have to lose weight again.  In fact, I don't like the word "lose" as it implies it may be "found"...I look at it as weight "released" or "let go"...NEVER to be recaptured again.

This morning, 6 months to the day of that first step on the intermittent fasting way of life, the scale rewarded my 26-weeks of effort and determination.

I REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT!!!

I've never been one to share my weight numbers openly, and I'm only sharing now in hopes that it will inspire and motivate someone else who's struggled in the weight category like I have practically all my life.  But here goes (deep breath and sigh...), for anyone who needs proof that it's never too late to achieve your weight loss goals:

First of all (for perspective), I'm about 5'7" these days (I used to be a little over 5'8", but I'm getting that old-age spine shrinkage) and just turned 63 years old.

Starting Weight:  211

Goal Weight ACHIEVED!:  140

Pounds Released:  71 lbs. in 6 months

Inches Lost:  Bust -11", Waist (I finally realized I HAVE one!) -10", Hips -7", Belly (between my waist and hips...where my body likes to store fat!) -11"

Clothing Size 16/18/XL to Size 8/Medium or even Small

But even more important than all the stats, I feel fantastic and healthier than I've felt in decades!  That in iteself is priceless and worth more than any number on the scale!

I'm hoping to get an "After" photo soon (when I actually get myself fixed up for public appearance...staying home so much has certainly curtailed that...) and do a side-by-side comparison, which I'll share with you. But I didn't want to let this 6-month milestone pass by without commemorating one of the greatest personal achievements of my adult life.

Thank you, God, for giving me the strength and commitment to change my life for the better!

SUCCESS!!!
