Daffodils
04/10/2020
It's one of my earliest elementary school memories...this song that our class sang for a spring program when I was in first- or second-grade...
Daffodils, daffodils...
...spilling your gold on the April hills.
Joy you bring, in the spring...
Gay, laughing...
Daffodils.
(Of course, that was back in the day when "gay" still meant "happy"...)
Kim has so many gorgeous daffodil varieties planted in front of the cabin.
But this is probably my favorite...an old-fashioned double daffodil that Kim dug up from his grandparents' home decades ago. Every year when they bloom, it brings back sweet memories of them.
When they bloom, I know spring has finally arrived. I do adore...
...daffodils.
Beautiful, Terry! Daffodils are my favorite spring flower. They just make me happy! Unfortunately, mine are not doing well. Lots of plants, very few blooms! May have to start over....
