So Much More Than Cards
Our Tree

And So It Begins

Daleville-1

Our 6th-grader Karter officially began his Shenandoah basketball career this week.

Daleville-1

Karter has been playing league basketball for several years now, but this week begins his tenure representing Shenandoah Middle School.

Daleville-3

These boys have been teammates (in rec leagues) and classmates for a long time...it's going to be fun watching them develop as basketball players over the next few years.

A few photos from their first game, a BIG win over Daleville.  I'm all about #10....

What a great start to their 6th-grade season!

Lapel-1

Nice to face an easier opponent for their first game, because last night they played against a very tough, big, and quick team from Lapel and ended up losing a close game by 5 points.

You win some, you lose some.  I think an early season loss is sometimes a very good thing and makes the boys work harder.  (Karter's head is behind the coach's head in this shot...)

Basketball is one of the most fun and exciting sports, but can also be exasperating and frustrating....definitely character-building at times.  I guess that's what makes it a great sport to play and watch.

And so it begins...
