The first couple of days at the beach, while the weather was picture-perfect, the red flags were flying which means the waves are dangerous and folks really should not be in the water.

But try to convince that to a houseful of Hoosiers who have traveled 800 miles for the very purpose of getting into the ocean.

Ain't happenin'.

They didn't go out far and the adults in the group were always close by ready to intervene if necessary.

But nevertheless, those powerful waves (even along the shoreline) had their way.

(Cue the music...."WIPE-OUT"!.....)

Even baby Daniel got a saltwater dousing!

Thankfully Daddy Kyler's strong arms and quick reaction snatched him up to safety.

A little sputtering, but no crying...those waves can take one by surprise!
