A ROARing Great Week!
06/17/2019
I love VBS week...but boy, is it exhausting!!! It's one of our two big summer events, and this year's VBS was the biggest ever!
We had over 90 children ages 3-10, and I was especially thrilled that all 11 of my grandchildren were a part of such a fun week learning about Jesus.
Here are 5 of the 11....Kelsey and Kassie (6 years old), Kaden (9), Lucy (3), and Abram (5). Cousins worshiping together sure makes Gramaw's heart smile!
A few photos of a fantastic week on safari (we had plenty of wild things!) in Indiana....
Kelsey...
Krew and Abram, with Kaden just behind them....
Our twin beauties Kelsey and Kassie...
Lucy was shy at first, but quickly overcame that!
Our fearless leader, youth pastor Bryan with his 11-month-old son Ellis...
Juni (3 1/2) and Lucy (3) hung out together...
Karter (in left corner) was old enough this year to be a crew leader...
My teacher-daughter Emily did a great job doing the closing each day.
The kids loved this huge inflatable elephant!
Lucy and Juni preferred to watch the games from the sideline...
...or just do their own thing!
Abram, with his creative and inquisitive mind, was all about Imagination Station activities.
90 kids worshiping God sure does raise the roof! I'm positively SURE God heard them singing!
Karter wore a GoPro camera to video some of the craziness!
Lucy enjoyed some one-on-one time with Aunt Dana, who was her crew leader.
Our pastor CJ taught the story each day. Here he shows how sin in our lives is a heavy weight we carry around with us all the time...until we give them to Jesus!
The daily skit was a big hit...and my friend Ashley was the perfect actress for it!
Daily offering to send to our infant rescue center in Kenya...
Some of the youth group kids who helped...what a great bunch of young people right there!
Karter is on the left of the second row, with his orange bandera on his head.
So...the kids met their giving goals...
...and got to dump "elephant poop" on Pastor CJ...
...Pastor Bryan, and 3 of the crew leaders.
Only Bryan....
I'm still on an exhausted/exhilarated VBS high!
Yes, it was indeed...
...a ROARing great week!
