Winter's Last Hurrah

March has come in like a lion.

Not sure if they still do this in today's modern schools, but back in the day we used to say that if March came in like a lion, it would go out like a lamb.  (Or vice versa)

I'm pretty sure snow and 5 degrees outside counts as a "lion" entry!

But the sun is shining.  And it IS March, which means spring can't be too far around the corner.  So this cold beauty surely won't last long.

And that's okay by me.  I've enjoyed the quiet pure loveliness of the winter season, but I'm beginning to catch spring fever myself.

I can't help but hope that this is...

...winter's last hurrah.
