YAY, Us!

Bye-Bye, Baja

Graywhale-13

I couldn't resist that post title, so a few final images from our wonderful trip to Baja, Mexico.

Graywhale-12

Bye-bye graceful dolphins...

Seabird-38

Bye-bye spectacular sunrises enjoyed with a cup of coffee from the bow of a boat, with only the sound of lapping waves and awakening birds breaking the silence...

Seabird-38

Bye-bye eternally shifting sand dunes, painted so many subtle hues in the first morning light...

Sand-30

Bye-bye countless sand dollars, exquisitely delicate yet extraordinarily tough little seashore masterpieces...

Sand-25

Bye-bye Pacific Ocean...

Seabird-51

Bye-bye pretty pelicans, gliding just above the watery surface...

Birds-26

Bye-bye magnificent seascapes that take my breath away...

Graywhale-143

Bye-bye gigantic gray whales...you were the reason we came to Baja.  And you did not disappoint.

We fell in love with your huge, inquisitive, adorable-in-a-prehistoric-sort-of-way babies.

Wishing you all godspeed and a safe journey back to Alaska.

Bye-bye Sea Bird, our wonderful marine home for a week...

Bye-bye all our new adventure-seeking friends from around the world.  Perhaps our traveling paths will cross again someday.

Bye-bye Christine and Adam, a couple of kids who we took a special liking to.  You two are living your dreams and I admire your adventurous spirit!  We wish you countless blessings and know God has great things in store for your future.

Adam, I want to hear all about your adventures horse-back riding across Mongolia!  Wow...that's got to be one of the most unique dream trips I've ever heard.

And Christine if when I ever make it to Tonga (I never even knew Tonga existed, and now it's on my list of places I want to go), I will hold you to your promise to take me snorkeling with the humpbacks.  I'd never have the courage to do that with anyone else!  :)
