My Christmas Day

Treepresents-2

I finished wrapping gifts on Christmas Eve.  With 11 grandbabies to buy for (plus a few others as well), it made for quite a big job but I got 'er dun just in time!

As we have the past few years, we were invited next door to have breakfast with Kristoffer's family and see what Santa brought.  Apparently Santa made a very early morning stop there, as Kaden woke everyone up at 2:30 am. after he heard Santa "ho-ho-hoing"!  By the time we arrived at 6 am, they were all about ready for a nap!

Karter notified us it was time to come over by FaceTiming me on his new iPod touch.  Growing up waaayyy tooo fast!!!

Each of the children posed for Gramaw with their Santa stash...

I'd say they must've been on the "Good" list this year!

We left them to nap...

..and Kim and I went back to the cabin to prepare for our Christmas lunch with Mama, my sister Barb & John, and about half of our tribe (our BIG family Christmas celebration is yet to come, on December 29...)

I had the distinct privilege of sitting at THIS table with these sweeties!

While we're saving most of the gifts for Saturday, everybody had something to open.  Karter is my head elf, supervising the gift distribution...

Mama enjoyed opening her many gifts and loved being with part of her peeps on Christmas Day.

We spent the afternoon playing games, chatting, and just enjoying being together.

Kassie got this strange creature...it comes as a dried up ugly ball, and after she gave it a bath and brushed it out it turned into a fluffy dog (I think!).  Never quite seen anything like it...before & after!

Mama brought a jar full of change for the children's piggy banks.

Gran-Gran loves her great-grandchildren!

Mama got a new pair of walking shoes...I can't believe she's so flexible at almost 83 years old!  I don't think I can lift my leg that high!

Dana and her girls, trying out their new card game...

Barb and Zach, chilling and laughing at the kids' antics...

Even with all the new-fangled toys, nothing beats an old Fisher-Price camera.  The kids still love to play with it!

Emily and Dana sported matching sheep socks....

A special day surrounded by people I love...
