It's been a week of nostalgia and reminiscing, so for Halloween I just had to throw this photo out there again.

June 1993. Kamaron (almost 7...look at those dirty legs and feet!) and Kyler (4 1/2), sitting on the back steps of our old house holding some of our cats from that era.
This newest litter of kittens is just the latest generation of a long legacy of barn cats on the Gray compound.
Kristoffer and Dana spent a few days at Yellowstone National Park last week, and Kim and I were blessed with some "wildlife" of our own...Kelsey & Kassie (6 years old), Kaden (8),and Karter (10).
We enjoyed one last unique experience before we reluctantly left Duma Tau camp and moved on to our final adventures in Botswana.
We aren't sure if the big male lion eventually got a meal that day after the wild dogs denied him, but he seemed pretty content when we caught up with him and another male lion later that afternoon napping through the heat of the day.
When you think "safari," I doubt that African wild dogs come to mind. But some of our most exciting adventures on this trip involved African wild dog drama.

After a quick-but-fabulous stay at the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia to see Victoria Falls, Kenny, Kim, and I were off to spend a week at two different safari camps in Botswana.
