And I can't think of a better way to spend the end-of-summer day than with some of my favorite Gray men.

Four-year-old Krew could be the advertising face for Cabela's....

Navigating Province Pond's "Sacagawea Passage" was a bit tricky.  One theory is that there was a little too much weight in the boat...but no one's owning up to it...

The early morning could not have been more glorious!  So much fun just being out there in God's creation....

Kamaron brought along his Krew's big pole to fish with...and it was pretty good to him, I must say!

The early fishing was a little slow, but I enjoyed watching Krew...

...and the birds that graced our presence.

Cormorants are interesting birds in that their feathers are not oily and water-proof like most water birds, so they have to let their wings dry after they dive for fish.

In case you were wondering.....or cared......

After about an hour of mediocre luck, Papaw began catching some blue gill....

Krew kept himself entertained by keeping an eye on the fish in the live well...

...and munching on snacks.

The fish were biting Kamaron's bait...

...and Krew reeled in his own nice fish!

In between fish shots, Gramaw kept her eyes peeled for beautiful birds in the morning's gorgeous light....

Anchors up!  Krewman is a strong little ship's mate!

A great heron squawked at us for trespassing in his fishing spot...

He was not happy and let us know it!

The only thing that delights a little boy more than peeing outside is doing it off the side of a boat!

See how sweaty Krew gets?  Just like his Daddy Kamaron always did...

By 11 am. it was getting very hot and we were ready to bring it in.  Kamaron released the 19 fish they caught...nothing big but lots of fun in the catching!

I can't think of a more...

...perfect end-of-summer day.
