Let's Play Some REAL Football!
09/05/2018
No more of that flag stuff on a short field...this year it's full-on pads and tackle for my football studs 10-year-old Karter and 8 1/2-year-old Kaden.
I've stood for many a national anthem at Shenandoah's football stadium, and I couldn't help tear up a little as I watched the next generation of Gray boys take the same field.
Daddy Kristoffer is their coach and does a really good job with the kids.
Following in his dad's footsteps, Karter is sharing quarterback duties on his team.
Kaden is very young for this league, only a 3rd-grader, but moved up because of his size.
He played some running back, taking the hand-off from his brother.
This is what makes a mama and grandma cringe...watch out Karter!
That pass ended up as a touchdown!
And this chest bump ended up with a happy Karter flat on his back...I quit snapping photos too soon! He needs to work on his chest-bumping technique...
But this pass did not end up so well. Thankfully, no football players were harmed in that play...
Getting some instructions from Coach Dad....
GatorAde break!
The dynamic duo on defense!
They didn't come out on the winning end this week, but it was a great season-opener....
...for the Gray boys.
Brother shenanigans...
I told them to give me their "football face"... intimidating, aren't they?!
Gotta look fierce and fearless now that they are playing...
...REAL football.
