I finally finished going through my hundreds of photos from our family beach vacation a couple of weeks ago....

The third best thing about our family beach vacation...HUSHPUPPIES at our favorite seaside restaurant...

We always have some extra time to spend before we can check into our beach house late Sunday afternoon.  So this year Kim and I thought we'd check out a nearby state park.

It's a long 15-hour drive from our cabin to our beach house on Emerald Isle...doable and has been done a few times, but we've found we enjoy the trip much more if we break up the drive into a couple of days.

This photo just makes me laugh...the perfect depiction of a wonderfully fun-and-crazy vacation with our entire family.

When Anique invited me to join them for an afternoon watching airplanes take off and land at my hometown Hagerstown's small airport, I couldn't resist an outing with this bunch!

My "baby" brother Mark and his family arrived at Mama's for a visit just as we were leaving for our week-long family vacation.
