"The Granny Awards"
04/17/2018
It's so exciting to see someone I love totally in their element, loving every moment of what they're doing, and doing it very well.
God gifted our 9-year-old grandson Karter with a fantastic voice, and I love listening to him sing. Recently we enjoyed him performing, with the rest of the Shenandoah Elementary 4th-5th grade Choir, a cute musical "The Granny Awards."
No awards show is complete without a Red Carpet entrance!
In case you're searching him out, he's on the risers in the middle back, on the right side.
Plaid shirt. Cutest kid on stage.
Can't miss him.
And yes, he knows his shirt is buttoned up wrong. "It's supposed to be like that, Gramaw."
Karter had a few small roles to play and parts to sing before his main performance.
He was one of the Three Blind Mice....
And Servant #1 who carried Cinderella's glass slipper...
He sang his sweet little heart out during the group songs...
...and cheered on his friends!
I just love that sweet boy!
I don't think he ever stopped smiling the entire musical.
Definitely in his element!
The highlight of the evening for him (and us!) was his performance as one of the Lost Boys.
Karter and his friend Caleb took center stage and did a superb job performing "I Won't Grow Up." (video at the end of the post)
So very proud of our little performer and his friends!
And if this Granny were giving out awards, I'm quite sure my favorite Lost Boy would sweep them all!
A fun evening watching Karter and company's performance of...
..."The Granny Awards."
This boy! What a special moment to watch him doing something he LOVES! I’m so proud to be his momm. Thank you for capturing these moments....he’s beaming!
