Kaden's Party
02/06/2018
Party time! The first week of February is a big one for our family, with two grandsons' birthdays just a few days (and 4 years!) apart.
On February 1, Kaden turned 8 and we enjoyed a family celebration the next day.
Birthday wishes from South Carolina cousin Abram...apparently the birthday card Abram was creating turned into a map of a volcano.
We wouldn't expect anything less from Abram. Kaden and Abram just adore each other!
Cousin Krew also created a birthday card. I do believe that must be a dinosaur or sea monster or something along that line....
After a supper of pizza, it was PRESENTS time!
Someone told me (I happen to have inside information from the Coach...) that Kaden is going to be the catcher on his baseball team, so of course he needed a catcher's glove.
Lots of great gifts...all sports-related. Surprise, surprise....
Mommy Dana came through once more with her fabulous cookies!
Trying something new...SPARKLERS! I think the consensus was that perhaps it would be a better idea for an outside party.
But it was fun and added a bit of excitement to the evening! Thankfully the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department was not needed. This time.
Hard to beat ice cream cake!
After-dinner entertainment...Kassie played for Gran-Gran...
...and Krew took a liking to the guitars too. A unique approach to playing it....
Kelsey always likes to harrass Uncle Zach. I don't think he minds too much....
Karter and Kaden both love sports books and both of their heads are filled with useless sports trivia.
They get it honest from their Daddy Kristoffer. Karter was quizzing his dad on the all-time best college football players.
Aunt Emily and Uncle Zach shared stories with Kassie and Kelsey about their most embarrassing moments. Quite entertaining!
Two of my beautiful daughters-in-law, Dana and Anique...
Krew gets a school lesson from Teacher Kassie. That's Gramaw's girl, right there....
Kassie and Kelsey are finishing up their final year of preschool (or "Pre-K" as they would so quickly correct me!), and both of them are starting to read. After lots of coaxing, Kassie read a book to Papaw!
A wonderful evening, celebrating this sweet fella who made our lives a lot brighter when he came into the world 8 years ago,...
...at Kaden's party.
Very Blessed!!!
