Sixteen family members converged on the Middletown Grays' house for food and fun, celebrating the special little boy God blessed us with four years ago.

Everyone had to get in on the knight action....

And you can't expect a group of kids and an armory of plastic medieval weapons to not have a few sword fights...

Contrary to what it looks like, Dorothy was not trying to intervene in the battle...she was just trying to find a safe spot to sit!

Of course, it's all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out takes an unprotected plastic-knife stab to the tummy.  Somehow or other, in these incidents, Kaden always seems to be involved.....and always so "sincerely" apologetic....

I promise.  No children were truly injured...just some bruised pride....

Saturday also happened to be Gran-Gran's 82nd birthday, so we sang to her too!

Presents for our little knight...

I love how the parents are always understandably thrilled with the new clothes...the kids, understandably, not so much....

Much more fun to get light sabers!

Juni came over during the present-opening to give Krew an unsolicited hug.  So sweet!

A new basketball goal for warmer weather....

That look on Krew's face says it all!  He was SO EXCITED that Gramaw couldn't even get her camera ready before he'd already blown out the candles!!

The cake may not have turned out exactly as Anique planned (do they ever?!), but it was delicious!

Uncle Troy did his best to kinda-tune the guitar and show Krew how to hold it.

Krew then played a song for us.  Gotta love a child that chooses to play "Rock of Ages" at his birthday party....

Of course, no party is complete without Papaw tickles and some stories...
