Raising four multi-sport athletes and now my grandchildren beginning their sports' careers, I've had my share of bleacher-butt.
"Butt" it sure felt good, after a brief break for my hip replacement surgery, to get my Gramaw butt back on the bleachers!
Kaden played in 2 games on Saturday and Karter played in 1 game on Sunday. A few photos from the basketball action over the weekend...
Kaden spends a lot of time on the ground...I can just hear Papaw yelling, "Get up! Stay on your feet!"
But sometimes a kid has to fight for the ball, Papaw...down on the court....
Kaden had a good day, scoring over 20 points and getting about as many rebounds.
Window seats for his sibling fans!
Sunday it was Karter's turn, with his 4th-grade team taking on the Blackford Bears at Shenandoah.
Karter had a good game too! He didn't get a lot of opportunities to shoot, but he did score a basket and came close a couple of other times. He is a good team player and had several assists and some good defensive plays too.
No place I'd rather be when my grandchildren are playing basketball, than...
...back(side) on the bleachers.
