My Christmas Day
12/26/2017
I started the morning making yeast dough and doing prep for our noon meal when the phone call came...
...from these 4 cuties next door, wanting Kim and us to come over.
Santa had definitely made a stop!
Lots of smiles on everyone's faces! Lots of gifts, but some of the highlights were Kelsey's guitar...
...Karter and Kaden's gaming chairs and PS4 games...
...and Kassie's microphone. Santa knows these kids well!
He also brought them a nice art table (how did it fit in his sack???!!!) for the play room.
Dana fixed the traditional Christmas breakfast of egg casserole and scones. And...Karter actually ATE a scone this year (even though he did pick out the cranberries)...a Christmas miracle!
Back to the cabin to prepare for the Christmas crowd.
Half of the House siblings (my sister Barb and me) with half of each of our respective families, along with Mama, for the House family celebration.
If anyone left hungry, it was their own fault. As for me, I nursed a sugar hangover all evening....but it was SO WORTH IT!!!
Barb and John, with daughter Sarah and grandson Austin...
My son Kamaron and Anique's family, Krew (3 1/2) and Juni (2)...
Mama with her two oldest babies...
Thankfully we had some good elves to help pass out the few gifts. Barb and I each have our own family celebrations, but this one was mostly for Mama.
No wine...but Kaden loved the strawberry lemonade!
Kassie's a girl after my own heart. She could eat ice cream all day long!
What could be better than ice cream and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?!
Barb always brings fun wherever she goes. And her gift of Poo-Pourri to me (I think that was a hint?!) ...
...got everyone tickled! I think Anique was jealous...she wanted her own.
Meanwhile, in the bedroom, the kids were playing with their new toys.
Our own Christmas concert....who could ask for better entertainment?
Full of wonderful new memories...
...my Christmas Day.
It was a great day spent with family!! Thanks for the hospitality, Terry and Kim!
