A Kenny Gray Christmas
12/27/2017
My father-in-law Kenny is amazing. This is the 11th Christmas without my mother-in-law Peggy, who died from ALS in 2007, but at 81 years old Kenny still hosts and cooks a Christmas celebration for the entire Gray clan. It's pert-near impossible to get everyone together at once, but even with several still missing the count this year was over 40.
Some of the youngest generation of the Gray clan...Kenny's great-grandchildren, Krew and Juni (mine) in the middle and their cousins Birdie, Fern, and Guy.
They rarely see each other, but quickly made friends and had fun playing together.
Some of the cast of characters...my brother-in-law Kent and his 2 daughters Erin and Paige and son-in-law Jake...
My sister-in-law Paula with her family...Sydney, who is an IU student (yay!), Foster, and husband Greg....
...and their oldest son Morgan with his fiance Destiny.
My other sister-in-law Pam, making Favorite Son-in-Law Zach feel special awkward...
Pam's two oldest daughters Heather and Tiffany...
...and more of her family...husband Dave, son-in-law Scott, and grandchildren Sam and Emma.
A shot without the "oldies"...these two siblings are a senior and a junior! How did that happen?!
"What do you mean I've got to wait?!" Little Fern was not having it...
No she was not!
Two of my favorite peeps Krew and Emily...those blue eyes.....
After cooking a fantastic meal, Kenny gets the much-anticipated gift-giving rolling...
In recent years, Kenny has had his "elves" do the children's shopping for him. For my grandchildren, boots all around plus Nerf guns for the boys and Bitty Baby dolls for the girls.
Fishing gear for the Stone children...
Clean-up crew....
Juni was so good!
Another set of my grandchildren arrived later...they had basketball games that morning. Kelsey and Kassie were thrilled with their very first medals, and Kaden was all-smiles after his team won their league tournament.
Some other grandchildren were getting this surprise later. But the biggest grandkid of them all just had to try it out first! Caught in the act, T...
Uncle Zach and Kelsey are always going at it...
A wonderful day with Kim's side of the family...
...a Kenny Gray Christmas.
