Diamond Action

During the month of May, we've spent many hours watching our oldest grandsons play minor league baseball. I've been shooting oodles of photos and, now that the season's almost over and they're playing in the championship tourney, I'm finally getting around to editing them.
Here are several I've taken of 9-year-old Karter the past few weeks...

Such a CUTE kid! And as SWEET as he is cute!
Karter wasn't one of the Orioles's starting pitchers, but he did come on as a relief pitcher in a few games. Always a big RELIEF to get out of the inning!
Karter played second base most of the time, and he had some great catches! He's a very good infielder.

Whatever happened to the days when kids just showed up with a baseball glove for games?! Now they each have their own bat (or 2), helmet, backpack...and these kids aren't even 10 years old yet! It isn't a simple or cheap sport any more!
