His Game
01/20/2017
Nearly every waking hour, when he's not in school or reading, he's thinking/breathing/watching/practicing/living basketball.
Hours upon hours, often by himself, dribbling and shooting in the rec room or driveway. Playing make-believe games in his head, constantly working on his court skills...Kaden loves basketball. It's his game.
January 14, 2017 couldn't get here soon enough.
After spending the past 10 months making up games on his own, he finally got to play in REAL games in the local league!
Not sure he'll ever be playing center, but he did jump center to start the game.
That's his daddy, my oldest son Kristoffer, coaching his kindergarten/first grade team (red shirts).
Kaden found himself matched up against his opponent's best player (in gray shorts) who also happens to be one of Kaden's best friends from school. He and Chase sit right next to each other in their first grade classroom.
Chase is also a good little player. It's going to be fun watching these two boys grow up playing basketball together.
Eventually they'll be on the same school team together...
...instead of fighting each other over the basketball. Although I think they enjoyed that part too!
Kristoffer modeling defensive arms for his team. A few are listening....
I lost track of his points, but he was definitely into double digits and the high point scorer for his team. He had several break-away baskets like this one!
Pure love for the the game of basketball...
His game.
