Our church hosted a 5K (3.1 miles, for those non-runners out there...) over the weekend, in conjunction with the annual Sulphur Springs Community Days, and our oldest grandson 8-year-old Karter wanted to sign up.

Maria's Florida home is very near several natural springs that feed into the nearby Suwannee River. And since we enjoy checking out the flora and fauna wherever we go, we spent one morning visiting a couple of the local springs.

We wanted to see my nephew Wyatt play football.
We had barely rolled into Fanning Springs, Florida (the word "into" is used very loosely...you pretty much roll "into" and "out of" Fanning Springs at the same time...) before we were scoping out our afternoon ice cream stop.

My grandson Krew, the oldest child of my son Kamaron and daughter-in-law Anique, is 2 1/2 years old.
