But 5 years ago, that wildest dream became a reality and we are loving life in our cabin.

And lest I take it for granted, once in awhile I just have to walk around and truly marvel at this little piece of paradise with which God has blessed us!

Soooo looking forward to some fresh peaches in a few weeks!

We're happy to share our little kingdom with many other residents...love our honeybees...

....carpenter bees (as long as they don't try to make the cabin itself their home!)...

...pretty yellow goldfinches, and other beautiful birds...

...several squirrels (I do believe this one happens to be a male...)...

...our big boy Jeremiah!

We're heading to the beach tomorrow for a much-needed week of relaxation with our family, so don't look for any posts next week. We've got someone taking care of the cabin and its critters for us while we're gone. But be sure I'll take lots of photos and have stories to share when we get back to...
