Grandpa Kenny's Candy Hunt
Bye-Bye Bag!

Easter at Gran-Gran's

Houseeastr-1

Nineteen of the House clan gathered for Easter dinner and fun after church on Sunday.

Of course, we had to have an Easter Egg hunt!  The oldest cousin, Austin (13), was the "hider" this year.

Five of my grandchildren were there...Kassie (3), Karter (7 1/2), Kaden (6), Kelsey (3), and Abram (2).

Houseeastr-12

Well, I guess I should say SIX were there...Abram's baby brother or sister is due to arrive sometime in April.

Checking out the stash with Gran-Gran...

Houseeastr-24

It was a perfect day for kite-flying and Gran-Gran has the perfect area!

Abram had fun with the glider Uncle John had brought.

Houseeastr-35

Although he didn't have much luck flying it...

Houseeastr-37

Enter cousin Kelsey...I'm sure SHE will be a big help!

Houseeastr-41

Gran-Gran entertained Abram by blowing bubbles.  Her bubble wand of choice?  An empty thread spool...

Houseeastr-43

Abram couldn't quite get the hang of it...

Houseeastr-45

Enter cousin Kelsey...I'm sure SHE will show him how it's done!

Hi Aunt Emmy...

Houseeastr-48

...and Great-Aunt Barb...

Houseeastr-44

...and the rest of the gang!

Houseeastr-49

Abram thoroughly enjoyed his chocolate egg!

Our cousin Butch surprised us by bringing his mower up and cutting Mama's grass.  How sweet of him to spend his Easter Sunday afternoon dodging Easter eggs, kites, airplanes, and kids just to help Mama out!

Some of the bunch walked to Hidden Creek in the woods.  This photo when they were coming back to the house reminded us of the scene from "The Field of Dreams"...."if you build it, they will come..."

Houseeastr-52

They found this shed antler back there.  I couldn't help but think how tickled Dad would be to know there's a big, old buck back in his woods!

I cherish  wonderful family times like...
