Bye-Bye Bag!
03/31/2016
This is the man of the day, the surgeon who's going to put me back together again.
Dr. Shekar Narayanan.
If you've been keeping up with my journey through cancerland, you know that I've been living with an ileostomy since my January 18 surgery to remove part of my rectum and lower colon.
The dreaded BAG!!!
Now after 10 1/2 weeks of healing, Dr. N, with the assistance of his computerized side-kick DaVinci machine, is going to reconnect my small intestine to my large intestine, and hopefully get my body back to a new normal.
DaVinci means tiny incisions. Tiny incisions mean quicker healing.
So wish me luck! I'll be taking several days hiatus from blogging until I've recovered from my surgery and brief hospital stay.
And I can't say it makes me even a teeny-weeny bit sad to say...
...bye-bye, bag!!!
So happy to hear the day has come! By the time I'm writing this, you may be awake and having broth or something like that for dinner!!! Byebye bag!
