I'm a Hoosier girl who LOVES snow and doesn't mind winter at all...as long as I can enjoy it from my front porch windows!

Yes, that is our Christmas tree that we took down yesterday and put out on the porch for now, until Kim takes it out to the big burn pile.

This was one of those blustery horizontal snows that stuck to the porch posts and light poles.

And even blew snow into our bucket of pine cones that sits right beside my front door.

No it's not a lot of snow, but at least it covered the ugliness of the barren January ground.

There will be more to come for sure, and with temperatures in the single-digits and low teens today, it's not going to melt any time soon.

This Indiana girl is happy that...

...winter has arrived.
