Papaw's Pal

Abrm-46

Oh, the joys of grandparenting!

Abrm-33

While his mommy and daddy took a much-needed getaway before Abram's baby brother or sister arrives in April, Abram's been staying with his Grandma Peggy and coming over to visit us a couple of afternoons.

Abrm-34

Yesterday Kim took Abram out to help with the chores.

He liked seeing the ducks...

Abrm-35

...and followed Papaw into the chickenhouse.

Abrm-37

While most of the grandchildren at this age are scared of the chickens, not Abram. Papaw gathered the eggs and Abram was fascinated watching the chickens.

Abrm-39

While Papaw wasn't looking...

Abrm-40

...Abram snatched his very own egg out of the bucket...

Abrm-43

...and carried it around until they got back up to the cabin. He may or may not have cracked it a bit after falling with it in his hands several times, but it didn't completely break.

Abrm-42

"Um, no....you can't have your egg back."

Abrm-45

Actually, during his time in the chickenhouse, I never heard Abram say anything. He's normally a non-stop chatterbox, but the chickens silenced him for a few minutes.

Abrm-44

Except for a few squeals and giggles!

Abrm-47

I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Abram or Papaw.

Abrm-56

But I know Kim loved having his little grandson at his side...

...Papaw's pal.
