Sometimes it's fun to have a little "project" when we go on a short trip like the one to Michigan over Labor Day weekend.  This year's project was to see and photograph as many of Lake Michigan's east shore lighthouses as we could.

It's been years since Kim and I spent any time in Michigan, so we decided it would be a perfect Labor Day weekend get-away for us.

As a former runner, I love me a good milestone...and yesterday was a big one for me.

So...Abram's other grandma, my friend Peggy, and I made a trip to Cincinnati to see Abram (and his mommy Kara too!).  We had no inkling of the big SURPRISE Abram had in store for us.

Winnie, our Mr. Unsinkable, left this earth and soared into Heaven late yesterday afternoon.

We enjoyed a special performance from a dancing princess this week.

Our dear friends Dave and Jen Bell have been home these past few weeks, on furlough from their missionary home in Kenya.
