Brunch with My Besties

Brunch-1

God has blessed me with some wonderful friends who, along with my awesome family, have been praying me through this cancer adventure.

Two of my best friends, Peggy and Brenda, drove me to my radiation treatment on Monday and then we went out for brunch and conversation at a new (to us!) fun cafe in Indy.

Brunch-8

Located on the Fort Harrison campus, it's only open for breakfast and lunch...

Brunch-6

Love the coffee bar...an assortment of mugs to choose from!

Brunch-3

Just a charming little cafe with lots of fun signs and decor in an old brick building.

Good food too, although I had to be very careful to order just a little bit of soft food...had to maximize my chances that I could make the 40-minute drive home without an emergency stop in a cornfield....

One of the exciting side effects of these treatments...

Brunch-4

I should learn to beware when Peggy volunteers to hold my camera for me.  But I guess it doesn't hurt me to occasionally be in front of the camera instead of behind it...

Thanks, Peggy and Brenda, for a delightful morning and a fun diversion for me!  I certainly enjoyed our time together, having...

....brunch with my besties!

So glad you have so many people to share your journey!

This post reminds me that what people can do for us when we need a lift is to BE THERE and SHOW UP! What a nice treat for you to look forward to after your treatment. Very nice.
