Almost-Fall Around the Cabin
09/22/2015
My calendar says tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23 is the first day of autumn.
Does that seem weird to anyone else? I thought it was always the 20th or 21st...but no one consulted me when "they" (who ARE "they"???) put the official calendar together.
But however you look at it, my favorite season of the year is just around the corner. The corn is almost dried up...
...and the beans are quickly drying up too.
Won't be long before Farmer JB is harvesting soybeans behind the cabin!
I never can remember the name of this beautiful, star-shaped flowering vine...but it only blooms very late in the summer season.
A few of the cosmos flowers are still blooming...
...along with the hibiscus, which just keeps showing off its big gorgeous blooms every day. But the rest of the flowers are pretty much gone.
Mama Kitty is about to pop with her second litter of kittens this year. This lady gets around! Anybody want a free baby kitten???
And Kim's punkin patch is ripe for the picking!
They've kinda strayed out of their designated area and we've got pumpkins growing in the strawberry patch...
...and other places (our yard!) where they shouldn't oughta be!
I do LOVE this time of year!
Almost-fall around the cabin...
name of bush I think is Jasmine
