A Few Morning Thoughts...

Misc-10

1.  I can't WAIT for this corn to get harvested so I can get my sunrises back!  Yes, this is beautiful, but there's nothing like seeing the sun peek over the horizon each morning...it's one of the things I love most about the cabin.  This tall corn is blocking my view...

2.  After this morning's radiation treatment, I'll have 18 down and just 10 more to go! YIPPEE!!! These daily trips to Indianapolis are cramping my style and taking up the most productive chunk of my days. By the time I get home, it's lunchtime and my energy is pretty well zapped for the day. I can't wait to get my  mornings back!

3.  Mama is coming home today!  She's spent the last week in Texas with my brother Mark and his family.  I miss her and can't wait to get her back in Indiana where she belongs! Picking her up at the airport this afternoon...

4.  My heart, still raw from Dad's passing three months ago, was further broken with the passing of Winnie.  How I loved that man!  Two of the best men I've ever known, both leaving this earth so closely together.  The world is a dimmer place, for sure...

5.  Life is a mixed bag of blessings and sorrows.  The year 2015 is the perfect example...filled with wonderful highs of publishing "Unsinkable," a fun vacation to Costa Rica and amazing family vacation to Alaska, and the highest high of all was the birth of our granddaughter Juni.  But the lows were just as low as the highs were high...Dad's torturous time in the psych ward and his quick decline and death, my cancer diagnosis, and Winnie's passing.  A roller coaster year to be sure...

6.  I'm absolutely LOVING this weather we're having in nowhere Indiana!  Sunshine and 80 degrees...pretty much perfect.  Bring on FALL!!!

7.  My blogging is suffering because of my lack of time/energy...hang in there with me....

8.  Off to the Cancer Center.  Have a joyous day!!!

Terry, Continuing to think about and pray for you. I've thought often of your Number 5 -- and how this year has been all over the place for you with extreme highs and lows. Glad to hear you are handling your treatments better than you expected and enduring. Thank you for your positive outlook on life through it all and your sustaining faith.

I enjoy your blog so. We are worlds apart on some ideas I am sure but in the end we both respect and care for people. This blog is a daily reminder of so much. thank you!
