Sunday after church, most of our family got together at the cabin for a day filled with food, football, pumpkins, and cute kids.

Exhibit #1 of Cute Kids above...a wagon-full of ADORABLE!  Twins Kassie and Kelsey (almost 3 years old), Krew (19 months old), and Abram (18 months).

So...this weekend was packed full of activity and fun...and plumb wore this girl out (although I loved every minute of it!!!)!  And while it was TOTALLY WORTH IT, I couldn't get my sore bum going this morning early enough to put together a decent post.

We harvested our honey this week.

Since we only have two hives and just one of them had a honey super on, we only got about 6 quarts of honey this year. But that's 6 quarts more than I've gotten the past 2 years, as the long frigid winters have taken a huge toll on our honeybees and I've had to start over the past two springs.

So we're thrilled with 6 quarts.

God has blessed me with some wonderful friends who, along with my awesome family, have been praying me through this cancer adventure.

Two of my best friends, Peggy and Brenda, drove me to my radiation treatment on Monday and then we went out for brunch and conversation at a new (to us!) fun cafe in Indy.

When 4 of our grandkids came over to spend the night with Gramaw and Papaw, between plenty of playing spells there was also plenty of this.

All of them love to learn!

My calendar says tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23 is the first day of autumn. 

Does that seem weird to anyone else? I thought it was always the 20th or 21st...but no one consulted me when "they" (who ARE "they"???) put the official calendar together.

The good news is...I'm 2/3 through my radiation treatments!  And the side effects have been manageable and not nearly as bad as they could be.  Trust me...you don't want the details...

The bad news is I've still got 9 treatments left to go.  But I'm clicking them off, day by day...October 1 will be my LAST radiation treatment!!!

I found this sign hanging in the Cancer Center rather amusing.  Especially considering that my area of treatment is "where the sun don't shine" anyway...never has and never will!

I got to visit two of my very favorite little people yesterday...Krew and Juni.

1.  I can't WAIT for this corn to get harvested so I can get my sunrises back!  Yes, this is beautiful, but there's nothing like seeing the sun peek over the horizon each morning...it's one of the things I love most about the cabin.  This tall corn is blocking my view...

Interstates are great for getting where you're going as quickly as possible, but when we aren't on a timetable Kim and I love to get off the interstate and onto the country roads. And that's just what we did on our Michigan weekend getaway.
