Kristoffer is coaching Karter's team...a group of mostly first- and second-graders, many of whom have never played before.

They had their first game on Saturday...Karter played center for the first half.

Oh no, Karter...don't try to block him!  He'll cream you!!!

Luckily, tackling is not allowed in this league...

It's all about grabbing the flag!

Of course, any football game must have cheerleaders!

Kassie was cheering her big brother on from the stands!

Kaden was his usual smiling self, playing every down too...from the stands.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

...but after a few Skittles, she was a little happier!

Halftime break....

Karter switched to quarterback for the second half.

Not every play goes exactly as planned....

Flashback...how many times did I watch Karter's daddy drop back into the same stance on this very same football field, ready to pass the football?  Great, great memories...and now it's starting all over again!

A valiant effort...but she got away this time!

As the clock was ticking down, Karter threw a touchdown pass for the 5-4 win!!!
