No, I didn't run in it.

But I DID help organize our church's 5K which kicked off the Sulphur Springs Community Days Saturday morning events.

Our new granddaughter Juniper was two weeks old yesterday.

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in May.  Since then, the weeks have been filled with medical tests, doctor's appointments, and lots of medicine...ugh.  All stuff I've never had to mess with much over my 58 years.

For those of you who may be wondering how things are going, I thought it was time for an update.

The Shenandoah volleyball season is underway, and our sweet church friend Sara is one of the mainstays of the team.

At just 7 years old, Karter seems way too young to be playing football.

But he is...flag football!

Big milestone in Karter's life...last week he learned to ride his bike without training wheels!!!

Seems like the butterflies have been more abundant this year than in previous summers. Just driving down the country roads, I see big butterflies fluttering in front of the car.

Juni is great-grandchild number 10 for Mama.

Last Wednesday was a perfect Indiana August evening...cooler temperatures, low humidity, gorgeous skies...and I decided to take my camera and head to the Mooreland Fair horse pull.
