Mama's Memories: Tarheel to Hoosier
Sixty-Year Milestone

The Hagerstown Jefferson Township Public Library in my old hometown was the site of the first official public book signing event for our book "UNSINKABLE."

We had NO IDEA at all what to expect!  It was a nasty night to be out...very cold, with temperatures hovering around ten degrees, and blustery winds blowing the snow all over the place.

So we were very pleasantly surprised at the loyal folks who came.  We had about 30 people come through and sold about 40 books!!!  Not bad for a dark, frigid night in a small town!

Winnie was the star of the show!  EVERYONE in Hagerstown knows Winnie!

Not quite sure what I was doing, I'm not meditating!  I don't think Winnie knows either...

Thanks to everyone who braved the elements to support us!

And special thanks to my very special friend...Peggy was there and took these photos for me (great job, Peggy!).

We do have more book signings on the horizon...

***This coming Sunday, January 11 at 2 pm. at the Sulphur Springs Church

***Saturday, January 24 at noon at the Middletown (Indiana) library

***Tuesday, January 27 at 6 pm. at the New Castle (Indiana) library.

Or...if you want your very own signed copy but can't make it to a signing (or don't want to wait!), email me at and I'll give you the details on how I can mail one to you.

And a very special thank you to two amazing friends...CJ and Leann gave me this gorgeous personalized pen as a gift!  Thanks so you!!!

Hope to see you soon at one of the....

"UNSINKABLE" signings!
