Saturday Snapshots and Snippets
01/31/2015
Been awhile since I did a "snapshots and snippets" post, so here are a few odds and ends from the past several weeks.
I finally broke down and ate the chocolate camera my dear friend Leann gave me for Christmas. Isn't it just the coolest thing? And it tasted just as good...a specialty item from our local Good's Candy Shop!
And speaking of chocolate (we were, weren't we???), the Cadbury Eggs are out! I especially adore the carmel variety.
They were SCREAMING at me in the grocery check-out line and I couldn't resist.
I ate three shortly thereafter. THREE eggs in one sitting! Because one wouldn't be enough, I had to get two and the sign said "buy 2, get one free" so of course I had to get my free one too.
Between Cadbury eggs and the Hershey's candy-coated pastel ones, Easter is not a diet-friendly holiday... (is there such a thing???)......
Four weeks after the launch of "UNSINKABLE," to say Winnie and Judy and I are pleased would be a huge understatement.
We have been absolutely THRILLED and so very appreciative of the wonderful response and kind words people have showered upon us.
Although it's hard to know for sure, we've sold in the neighborhood of 500 books ourselves, plus about 35 paperbacks + kindle versions on Amazon! We've got a couple of speaking engagements booked, and a few more possible book signings in the works.
Thank you to ALL of you who have made this venture so rewarding for us!!! Of course, we've still got plenty of copies available and we'll be glad to mail you one or arrange to get one in your hands if you live nearby.
And...if you don't mind, we'd love it if you would write a book review for it on Amazon. Even if you didn't buy your book through them, you can still write a review. Go to Amazon.com and search for "Unsinkable" by Terry Gray. More reviews=more attention from Amazon=more promotion=MORE BUYERS!!!
If I'd had my camera ready to go and easily within reach, I'd have gotten a lot better shot of this coyote that trotted across the road in front of me and across the field.
Lesson learned...I hope....
I have to admit, I'm a little excited about the snow storm heading our way. We've hardly had any snow to speak of this season, and what's an Indiana winter without snow???
Bring it on (forecasting anywhere from 4-8" for our area)...I haven't taken hardly any snow photos this winter.
Last day of January...where has the month gone?! Enjoy it!!!
