Been awhile since I did a "snapshots and snippets" post, so here are a few odds and ends from the past several weeks.

I finally broke down and ate the chocolate camera my dear friend Leann gave me for Christmas. Isn't it just the coolest thing?  And it tasted just as good...a specialty item from our local Good's Candy Shop!

I have been known to go on vacation and come back with beautiful photos that I'm not sure if they are of a sunrise or a sunset.

Because, you see, I love to photograph both times of day and in many ways they are much the same. A spring sunrise and winter sunset in Indiana look a whole lot alike.

I got my hair cut the other day.

REALLY CUT!  As in several inches and lots of layering...

On a whim.

Saturday mornings these days means Upward basketball games for Karter, his coach Daddy Kristoffer, and his "assistant coach" Kaden.  

Saturday mornings for two-year-old Kelsey and Kassie mean donuts.

Some people think churches are full of stuffy, boring, serious people who miss out on the fun of life.

Not our church.  At all.  Our church family laughs together and knows how to have FUN!!!

With three games under their basketball belt, Karter's team is making vast improvements every week.

Sales have been brisk, the crowds have been wonderful, and the book reviews (click here to read some on Amazon!) have been fantastic!

And Winnie and Judy and I have been very, very humbled by the love and and so very appreciative of the support of everyone as we've shared his TRUE life story with the world.  I had to emphasize the word "TRUE," because much of it is just incredible and almost unbelievable.

Stop by the Middletown Library at noon.  Winnie and I will share for a few minutes about the book and how it came to be, and then for just $13 you can get your very own signed copy of "UNSINKABLE" to read over the weekend.

Krew was one very happy boy when Kim and I watched him for awhile one afternoon this week.

The past couple of years, Kim and I have made our Christmas gifts to each other a trip to a new place, a tropical destination where we've never been.

Because there are just SO MANY places on this beautiful planet that we want to see, and not nearly enough time...

So 4 weeks from now, we'll be on a plane headed to Costa Rica.
