So I'm using my big old desktop that rarely gets turned on anymore, and as I was browsing through the pictures folder, I came across this gem that I hadn't seen for a long while.

 

And with Mother's Day just past, my birthday this week, and the Britt Reunion in a couple of weeks, I thought it an appropriate time to pull it out of the archives.

 

1959. 

Me, Mama, Mama's daddy Andy, Mama's grandma Mary Whitley Britt, and Mama's great-grandma  Eva Frances Harwood Whitley.

I don't remember my great-great-grandmother, but do have many, many fond memories of the others.  Strong, smart, independent, hard-working, big-hearted folks all of them.
