Easter at the Cabin

House-1

Sunday after church, Kim and I hosted Easter dinner for my side of the family.

We were so blessed to have all 4 of my children and their families, my sister Barb and some of her peeps, and Mama and Dad....24 in all.

I need a bigger table.....

House-5

One of these days, I'm going to skip the main dishes and head straight for the desserts...

House-8

What a gloriously perfect spring day for an Easter Egg Hunt!  Quite the challenge...

House-10

...but our hunters were totally up for it!

Kelsey had already snitched an egg and opened it up before I could even snap this shot...she quickly figured out that egg hunts mean candy and that girl LOVES her candy!

Such cute little hunters!

House-22

My great-nephew Austin was a really good sport and gentleman, leaving the easy eggs for the younger children.  What a sweet 11-year-old he is!

House-20

This photo of Karter nearly made me cry when I saw it.  When did he grow up?  Can't believe he's almost 6....

House-24

The old bunny himself watched the great-grandkids from the porch.  Dad has always loved the little ones!

House-25

Next Easter our little Krew-man will be hunting eggs, but this year he was content to rock on the porch with Daddy Kamaron.

House-28

The successful hunters head back to the cabin to check out their stash.  All 82 eggs were found on the first try!  Sorry Kim...no unfound candy treats for you this year while you're mowing.

House-30

Karter and Kaden adore their cousin Austin, and he was so patient as they "helped" him count his eggs...

House-34

...then they escaped Kelsey and Kassie to open their own collections.

House-31 House-32

Because, as you see, Kelsey and Kassie couldn't open the eggs and eat the candy fast enough!

House-40

Of all the things I love about our cabin, the porches are the absolute best!  Just so fun to sit around on the porch while the children play in the yard, talking and laughing together.

House-41

House-38

Baby Abram pretty much slept through the whole day, totally content being passed around to his adoring aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

House-36

Krew was having a little tummy trouble, but he was passed around too...

House-47

...until he passed out in Mommy Anique's arms.  Sleepy boy!

House-42

My niece Sarah (Barb's daughter) with her son Austin and boyfriend Joe...

House-45

Emily and Zach...

House-52

Kyler, Kara, and Abram...

House-50

My beautiful sister Barb and her handsome husband John....

House-46

Me and my man Kimmie...

House-43

And Mama and Dad.

House-56

A great day of family togetherness, too much food, and loads of laughter...

...Easter at the cabin.
