More Baby Preps

Kamaron and Anique are not the only ones caught up in the baby fever...our Cincinnati kids Kyler and Kara are making baby preparations of THEIR own!
In March, we will all welcome the exciting arrival of their Baby Gray! See those photos on the chalkboard...that's our baby!!!
I know...once you've seen one sonagram, you've seen them all...that is unless it's YOUR baby or grandbaby and then it's the most ADORABLE sonagram ever taken!
Kyler and Kara have chosen not to find out the baby's gender beforehand, adding an extra element of surprise and anticipation to the big March event!
We made a quickie trip to Cincinnati over the weekend, taking Grandpa Kenny along with us as he hadn't seen the kids' place yet. I was excited to see the nursery they've been working on, and the crib and dresser they bought.
I've never seen a crib set so close to the floor, but I think that'll be extra nice for Kara since she's a little, uh, shall we say "height challenged." Not so great for tall, lanky Kyler...but we all know the mama does the most lifting in and out of the crib, and I suspect it will be no different in their home.
I was relieved to find out that our baby will not be sleeping on cardboard...the mattress is yet to come...
I really love the dresser, as it is a piece of furniture that will be used long after the nursery's empty.
Oh yes, the walls were just painted! Kara says the color is Aqua Mist, a beautiful gender-neutral color that can be easily adapted to decor changes.
Halfway through the pregnancy, the excited parents-to-be!
And this last photo has nothing to do with baby prep, but this is the newly-refurbished guest room at their home.
Yes, that is chalkboard paint and artistic/creative Kara drew on the details with chalk. Isn't that cool? I can picture how fun that would be for a child's room someday...hey, maybe it DOES have to do with Baby Gray after all!
2014 is shaping up to be a GREAT year for our family with two new additions already on the way! And I love, love, love being around all the exciting...
...baby preps!
